Jason Varughese
CEO, Co-Founder
Jason’s drinking career began at 14 years old when he blacked out during his first drink. His drinking career ended a few decades later when he showed up at his second 12-step meeting and ultimately attended 110 meetings in the first 90 days. During his ensuing sobriety journey it was often difficult for Jason to find 12-step meetings — he had recently moved to Los Angeles and the city was foreign to him. To stay busy in the wake of losing his job he put his professional experience to use by creating a prototype app that would eventually become Pink Cloud.
Prior to Pink Cloud Jason spent half his career in product management and the other half in software engineering. His experiences ranged early stage, pre-IPO, and Fortune 500 companies (primarily in fintech, adtech and health). He has a BS in Symbolic Systems with a concentration in Biomedical Informatics from Stanford University. He also studied at Johns Hopkins University.
Jason believes product managers have a responsibility to be of service and to do no harm.
Andy Zhang
CTO
Andy is a seasoned mathematician with a deep exertise in data engineering and machine learning. His experiences as a technologist and leader ranged from early stage startups to Fortune 500 companies, primarily in health.
Andy has spearheaded and led engineering teams responsible for systems with transactions exceeding $100mm/day and delivering care to tens of millions of patients at global institutions. He worked at Shirley Ryan AbilityLab, Infor (a software company), Zipari (a healthtech company), Success Academy Charter Schools, Nomad Health, and Stanford University.
Andy studied Computer Science at DePaul University and Biomedical Engineering at Illinois Institute of Technology.
Brett J. Fox

Brett serves as an Advisor to CEOs and startups, including the CEO of NextSilicon. He’s an accomplished high-tech executive with experience as a CEO and turnaround specialist.
Brett has built several businesses from $0 to >$100mm and has raised over $100mm in venture capital and private equity.
He holds an MBA from USC - Marshall School of Business and a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from UC San Diego.
David J. Whelan

Dave serves as CEO of BioscienceLA, the catalyst for life sciences and health innovation in the greater LA area. Dave is a seasoned strategy, business development, and general management executive, building businesses and inspiring entrepreneurs at the intersection of technology, health, and wellness.
Dave was an integral part of the creation of New York Genome Center, a unique not-for-profit scientific research institute, where he served as SVP, Business Development & Chief Strategy Officer. He also worked with the Larta Institute, Cedars-Sinai Accelerator, Women Founders Network and 24 Hour Fitness, where he helped launch one of the first fitness wearables.
He holds an MBA from the UCLA Anderson School and a B.S. in Symbolic Systems from Stanford University. He also studied at London Business School and Carnegie Mellon University. He has held a Top Secret Security Clearance.
Michael Evans

Michael has done sales, as an owner or agent, for over 40 years. He has worked for Evans & O’Brien, Pacifica Homes, and Coldwell Banker.
Michael’s specialties within the real estate industry are manufactured homes and licensing.
He has a high school degree from Clark High School in Las Vegas, NV.
Vivian F. Wang

Vivian is an advisor to industry, academia, and government. She enjoys tackling big challenges that can accelerate the transition towards planetary health and wellbeing. She has over two decades of experience in product development, brand management, finance, and venture investing.
She was responsible for new product launches exceeding $350M in revenue at Avery Dennison and Microtek Lab where she led strategic partnerships, IP licensing, co-branding initiatives, and OEM relationships with companies including Adobe Systems, Apple, Hewlett Packard, Microsoft, Olivetti, Sun Microsystems, and The Walt Disney Company. She was also a longstanding member of an $130M early-stage Asia-Pacific venture fund focused on expanding broadband networks, climate solutions, medical devices, satellite communications and wireless technologies in emerging markets.
She has an MBA from The Peter F. Drucker Management Center at Claremont Graduate School, a BA in Quantitative Economics at UC San Diego, and a minor in Visual Arts.
